Hello everybody, considering this to be my first post I am opening upon a note of anticipation hoping to get a very good response both in the way of advice as well as feedback comments, etc. Let me start of my blog with a topic of great importance in my life My name I might have to add this is a topic came to my mind after looking at DK's post (To people who are not familiar with him he is one my best seniors who helped me a lot at many instances and is still helping me in matters like apping). The post I came across in DK's blogpage highlight the troubles some of the people(including my senior himself) trying to explain some morons in the society they came across while daily transcations.
I can't explain in words how some of the events like the Shri - Sri conflict I came across quite often in my experiences were explained so well in his blog page.
Well now let me start off with my own acccount of how I encountered trouble at many instances of my life. First of all without any feeling of doubt let me write down my name Vemuru Venkata Srivishnu Mohan. I would reserve the opportunity to explain the importance and origin of this name in a different blog.
I can't surmise how my father miraculously handled the trouble of ensuring that my whole name was put into the census list and also the various school roll nominations wherein I enrolled as a part of my educational career. From the moment I began assuming responsibility of small events like getting my name on DD's in banks, on fee receipts and so on I realized how difficult it was getting for me to convince guys of the importance of the unified word Srivishnu and how I could'nt explain it to people I am not great enough to be entitled with the name Sri Vishnu. At times I had problem trying to fit my name into standard application forms like my SSLC ( I fell short of two letters in it so had to cut down on my name shortened it to V. Venkata Srivishnu Mohan).
The troubles with my name reached a peak point when I was on phone trying to book my date for GRE, I spent around Rs. 320 trying to convince the guy on phone that Srivishnu was one word. I feel bad sometimes at the way people massacre my name without realizing the significance of it or with absolute disregard to my own feelings regarding it.
Well all these being the sight disadvantages and troubles with my name I am proud of all the important things it signifies in my life. It signifies a rhyme in my family names My Dad Sridhar, my brother Srikrishna and me Srivishnu. Well guys the list is endless. So let me end this monglogue for now.
Most of you might find this monologue not too amusing to your tastes(some might find it boring too). But hope I made a decent beginning with this post. I hope the blogs which are going to follow this ones reveal more of my ownself to all the people who might find their way to this page.
